Job Title: Sales Development Representative

Team: Buildscout

Working Location: Hybrid – 3 days a week in our Old Street office, London

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 (dependent on experience) with uncapped commission

Reporting to: Commercial Director

This role is for Buildscout, a sister company of Searchland, focused on transforming lead generation in the construction industry.

At Buildscout, we help property and construction professionals turn planning application data into opportunities that grow their businesses. Backed by Searchland, the UK’s leading B2B proptech company, we’re building a supportive team where sales professionals can thrive and make an impact.

We’re looking for a Sales Development Representative who enjoys building relationships, spotting opportunities, and contributing to our commercial growth. You’ll play a central role in helping new customers discover Buildscout, with support from a collaborative sales and product team. If you thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and have a passion for SaaS sales, property, and construction, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

🎯 What You’ll Be Doing

  • Identify and connect with potential clients through calls, emails, LinkedIn, and events
  • Convert qualified leads into long-term customers, moving them efficiently through the sales funnel.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, showcasing how Buildscout provides value to property and construction professionals.
  • Work closely with prospective clients to understand their needs and close deals effectively.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success and Product teams to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing satisfaction.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activity, and market demands to refine sales strategies.
  • Attend trade shows, industry meetups, and networking events to generate new opportunities.
  • Gather client feedback and share insights to improve sales processes and product offerings.
  • Take ownership of personal sales targets and contribute to overall business growth.
  • Help refine and optimise the sales process for efficiency and effectiveness.

Experience

  • Right to Work in the UK
  • At least 2 years experience in a cold sales/outreach role, ideally in SaaS
  • A natural sales mindset – confidence, resilience, and a competitive, results-driven attitude
  • Eagerness to learn and take on challenges
  • Strong communication and persuasion skills

    ➕ Desired (Not Essential)

    • Exposure to B2B sales or tech product environments
    • Experience in customer-facing roles such as telesales, hospitality, retail, call centres, or sport
