Job description

At Dscout, we’re building the most flexible and powerful UX research platform on the market—trusted by the world’s top brands in finance (JP Morgan Chase, Intuit,Schwab, PayPal), healthcare (Aya, Headspace), consumer goods (Keen, Verizon, Target, Northface), and tech (Google, Amazon, Facebook, Meta, Spotify, AirBnB). Our tools help teams deeply understand the humans behind their products, so they can build better ones. We are expanding our smart and driven team and would love for you to join us.

We are looking for an Account Development Manager for our EMEA Team. As an Account Development Manager, you will be working directly with our international customers to ensure they are getting the most out of our software by driving impact and developing strong relationships between your customers and dscout. This role will focus on revenue retention, adoption and growth within your book of business by demonstrating value via your product expertise and understanding of use cases. There is also a requirement for cross‑functional collaboration in order to support the growth of the EMEA business.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of accounts, building, growing, and cultivating strong relationships across your book of business.
  • Drive ARR growth by consistently meeting and exceeding retention and expansion targets.
  • Identify and address retention risks early, creating proactive solutions that keep customers engaged and supported.
  • Identify and successfully execute expansion opportunities.
  • Champion adoption of the Dscout platform, ensuring customers get maximum value from their subscriptions and consumables.
  • Grow account value through upsells and expansion opportunities, securing additional subscriptions within existing organisations.
  • Proactively identify white space within your accounts to drive expansion, navigating complex organisational structures to land new teams and use cases.
  • Represent Dscout with confidence and curiosity at industry events, conferences, and customer engagements.
  • Act as a trusted advocate for customers internally, ensuring their voice is heard and needs are prioritised.
  • Cross‑collaborate effectively with multiple functions: Product, Marketing, Sales, and CS to drive shared goals.
  • Use data and insights to inform decision-making, track progress, and optimise customer outcomes.
  • Guide customers in building research programs that unlock more value from Dscout’s tools and capabilities.
  • Thrive in a start‑up environment, adapting quickly, staying resourceful, and wearing multiple hats as needed.
  • Embody Dscout’s values, empowering others, acting with integrity, and fostering an inclusive, human‑centred culture.
Desired Skills and Background
  • Minimum 3+ years working in an account management, or equivalent, role.
  • Minimum 3+ years working for a Software as a Service (SaaS) company.
  • Amazing written communication, verbal communication, and presentation skills within internal and external teams.
  • Detail‑oriented. You have a keen eye for detail and care deeply about consistency.
Additional Skills
  • Be a proven relationship builder. You have excellent people skills, are a natural leader, and have experience consulting and influencing customers up to the executive level.
  • Having experience in UX.
  • You love to lead meetings and influence others. You know your audience and can communicate effectively while translating technical ideas to non‑technical people and inspiring people to try new things.
  • Be (or be willing to become) an expert in research trends, stay informed of data‑driven industry news, emerging technologies and competitor offerings.
  • You are able to meet and organise around many moving parts, appropriately set and manage expectations and still have fun along the way.
  • You think on a strategic level and act tactically. You love evaluating things from a high level, but also have a technical curiosity and enjoy working directly with products.
  • Highly motivated, self‑sufficient and able to operate autonomously. You demonstrate the ability to launch an initiative, take ownership and follow through.
  • A confident cross‑functional team player: working to keep people from multiple disciplines aligned toward the same goal.
  • Experience working in a software company that also offers professional services.
  • Flexible and adaptable to support the EMEA business in whatever capacity is required.

We do our best to write realistic, accurate job descriptions, but we also recognize that great talent comes in many forms and from many backgrounds. Not sure if you meet all of the above bullets? Please apply anyway!

Note: Some of the benefits listed below apply only to U.S.-based employees. We offer a similarly competitive benefits program in the UK with many comparable offerings, which we’ll be happy to share with you during the interview process.

Of course, what is outlined above is an ideal set of expectations; however, business needs and other projects and tasks may shift, and additional tasks could be assigned at the discretion of your manager.
