Overview

We’re looking for an Accounts Technician to join our busy and growing finance team. You’ll play a key role in supporting day-to-day accounting tasks and month-end processes that keep our financial operations running smoothly, the role is varied across several areas of Finance.

This is a great opportunity for someone with accounting experience who’s ready to take on responsibility within a dynamic and expanding telecommunications business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support with month-end and year-end close processes
  • Preparation of accounts to trial balance stage
  • Maintain the general ledger, post journals (including accruals/prepayments) and carry out balance sheet reconciliations
  • Process supplier invoices, sales invoices and support with payment runs
  • Reconcile bank accounts and control accounts
  • Support with the preparation of financial reports & Data Analysis
  • Work with Key stakeholders of the business, including submitting Network Commission queries
  • Maintain accurate financial documentation and respond to internal and external finance queries
  • Assist with VAT Returns and Audits
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
  • Sound IT Skills, proficiency with Excel and accounting systems, comfortable working with large data sets
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Experience of Sage 200 Accounts, Sicon WAP and Salesforce are desirable
