Qualifications

  • Prior experience in an Accounts Payable or Accounts Assistant role.
  • CIS experience is desirable, but training can be provided.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.

  • Resolve payment and invoice queries with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage unallocated cash and credit card payments.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and support financial reporting.

Your new company

Seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Assistant to join a UK leading infrastructure company based in Witney. Offering 3 days working from home.
In this role, you'll support the Accounts Payable Manager and take ownership of maintaining accurate financial records. Managing the full purchase ledger process alongside a small team. Ensuring invoices are processed and paid on time while handling supplier queries quickly and professionally.

Your new role
  • Work closely with suppliers and internal teams to resolve payment and invoice queries.
  • Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
  • Produce BACS payment runs and manage urgent CHAPS payments.
  • Manage unallocated cash, company credit cards, and staff expense payments.
  • Reconcile supplier statements, including use of AI tools.
  • Carry out account analysis to support accurate financial reporting.
  • Support the finance team with a range of ad-hoc tasks as required.
What you'll need to succeed
  • Prior experience in an Accounts Payable or Accounts Assistant role.
  • CIS experience is desirable, but not essential (Training can be provided).
  • A motivated, enthusiastic team player with a positive, proactive attitude.
  • Resilient and determined, with the ability to go the extra mile when needed.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Ambition to grow and take on additional responsibilities as the role evolves.
