Management Accounts Assistant

We require an enthusiastic, organised and confident individual to join our finance team, based at Trust Headquarters, Exeter and making use of homeworking.

The role is responsible for supporting the delivery of an efficient and effective management accounting service and you will work within a busy financial management team. Responsibilities will include supporting the team in the day to day function in the provision of a highly professional and efficient management accountancy service, Using Excel for preparing journals, supporting the month end closedown process and carrying out tasks to assist the wider finance team.

The successful candidates will be willing to undertake studies to obtain an AAT qualification that will allow you to develop within the role and be considered for senior posts within the team.

Main duties of the job

This job will cover a range of tasks that will help the team meet its deadlines and targets. This work will help the candidate with their accountancy studies and prepare them for future roles in finance. Task include:

  • Preparing monthly excel schedules for finance team to complete.
  • Keeping records of reports and queries up to date, and chasing responses from budget holders.
  • Assisting the month end process with posting journals.
  • There will be a range of other task which you'll be helping other team members with while developing your accountancy skills.
