A regional emergency service provider in Exeter seeks an enthusiastic individual for a Finance Assistant role. The successful candidate will support the management accounting team and prepare Excel reports while developing their skills towards an AAT qualification. We require an enthusiastic, organised and confident individual to join our finance team, based at Trust Headquarters, Exeter and making use of homeworking. The role is responsible for supporting the delivery of an efficient and effective management accounting service and you will work within a busy financial management team. Responsibilities include supporting the team in the day-to-day function in the provision of a highly professional and efficient management accountancy service, using Excel for preparing journals, supporting the month end close-down process and carrying out tasks to assist the wider finance team. The successful candidate will be willing to undertake studies to obtain an AAT qualification that will allow you to develop within the role and be considered for senior posts within the team.
This job will cover a range of tasks that will help the team meet its deadlines and targets. This work will help the candidate with their accountancy studies and prepare them for future roles in finance. Tasks include:
