Non-profit - Social Services
Part Time (20 hours per week) | Fixed Term to 30 June 2026
Make a real difference in the early learning journey of tamariki in our community. We’re looking for a compassionate, relationship‑focused kaimahi to support whānau to engage with Early Childhood Education (ECE) and Kōhanga Reo across Heretaunga.
Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga (TToH) is a kaupapa Māori, Ngāti Kahungunu mandated organisation dedicated to strengthening the wellbeing of whānau. For over 40 years, we’ve delivered health, social, education, and community services grounded in Te Ao Māori and guided by aroha, manaakitanga, whanaungatanga, and kotahitanga.
As our Whānau Engagement Worker – ECE Pathways, you’ll work directly with whānau to help tamariki access early learning opportunities. You’ll build trusted relationships, support whānau to understand the value of early childhood education, identify barriers, and guide them through the enrolment process with ECE providers and Kōhanga Reo.
This role is all about whanaungatanga, whakamana, and walking alongside whānau to create strong, confident connections with early learning environments.
If you’re passionate about empowering whānau and helping tamariki access brighter futures, we’d love to hear from you.
