Digital Commissioning Officer – Full Time – Preston

Salary £55,613 - £60,148 per annum | Permanent, Full time 37 hours per week | Preston

Are you an experienced commissioning professional with a passion for digital transformation and service improvement? Join our Digital Commissioning team at County Hall and help shape the future of Lancashire’s digital services.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the commissioning lifecycle for internal and external digital services, including innovative solutions across Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, End User Computing (EUC), Cloud technologies, and Wide Area Networks.
  • Use commissioning expertise to drive procurements for technologies, applications and professional services.
  • Provide expert advice and support to colleagues and stakeholders across Digital and the council.
  • Work closely with colleagues in Procurement to ensure we buy services that meet business needs and align to the technical strategy.
  • Lead strategic planning and procurement of new digital capabilities.
Qualifications
  • Professional or academic qualification in procurement or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Substantial experience in commissioning or procurement, ideally within the public sector.
  • Proven ability to manage digital service commissioning and contract arrangements.
  • Strong knowledge of commissioning processes and best practices.
