A reputable educational institution in Tees Valley is looking for an experienced Deputy SENDCo to support the provision for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This role involves leading SEND initiatives, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and fostering an inclusive environment. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in SEND leadership, effective communication with staff and families, and a commitment to supporting diverse needs. The position offers opportunities for professional development and collaboration with various stakeholders.
The Deputy SENDCo will support the SENDCo in leading and managing the provision for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The role includes maintaining high standards of teaching, learning, progress and inclusion for pupils with additional needs, ensuring the school meets its statutory responsibilities, and promoting a culture of high expectations and inclusion across the school. The Deputy SENDCo will also deputise for the SENDCo when required.
