Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and maintain logical and physical data models to support audit and risk assessment processes.
  2. Build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines and warehousing solutions for structured and unstructured data.
  3. Develop reporting and analytics solutions using Python and Tableau.
  4. Create interactive dashboards to communicate audit insights and risk assessments effectively.
  5. Collaborate with auditors, stakeholders, and IT teams to understand data needs and perform data analysis aligned with audit objectives.
  6. Perform data validation, integrity checks, and governance to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  7. Utilize SQL, data modeling tools, and scripting languages to define and implement database solutions.
  8. Maintain data dictionaries, metadata, and schema documentation.
  9. Document data structures, business logic, and workflows for transparency and knowledge sharing.
  10. Optimize dashboard performance and usability through best practices in data visualization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, data modeling, data architecture, or analytics.
  • Expertise in SQL, database design, and entity relationship modeling.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases like Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, etc.
  • Knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop and Snowflake.
  • Experience with ETL tools and SQL development.
  • Proficiency with reporting tools like Tableau and programming in Python.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Understanding of internal audit, risk management, and compliance is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with data modeling tools like Erwin, ER Studio, Lucidchart, PowerDesigner.
  • Background in financial, banking, or regulatory environments.
  • Knowledge of data governance and data lineage tools.
