Job description

What makes Community Integrated Care a great place to work:

Lead a national ERP transformation that powers better lives.

Are you an experienced programme leader who thrives on complex change and measurable impact? Join us as ERP Programme Manager and take end‑to‑end ownership of a multi‑functional, national ERP transformation—modernising systems and re‑engineering processes to deliver operational excellence, smarter decision‑making, and meaningful value across our charity.

This is a full‑time fixed term contract role for 12‑18 months initial term with national travel and regular / weekly presence in our head office in Widnes so the ideal candidate will be based within an hours commute of Widnes.

What is The Deal for you?

  • Flexibility: You can work your 37.5 hours over 4 days and enjoy a long weekend, or split the hours over 5 days to accommodate your other commitments. You can work from home, or from our head office in Widnes, or a flex between the two. There will be a requirement to travel to our head office at least once a week.
  • Pension: contributory pension scheme
  • Benefits: retail discounts, holiday discounts, cycle to work scheme and travel discounts through our benefits app
  • Best Lives Bolder: You’ll be working for an award winning charity who is passionate about ensuring our colleagues and the people we support lead the best lives bolder
  • Development: We’ll work with you to develop your career or to learn and experience new things. We’re passionate about developing our people!
  • Support: From our Employee Assistance Programme (available 24/7), financial support options, and wellbeing fund you’ll have the support available to lead an easier (financial) life
Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:

This programme will streamline how our organisation works every day—connecting finance, people, operations, and service delivery—so our colleagues can focus on what counts most: supporting people to live the Best Lives Bolder.

Day to Day:
  • End‑to‑end delivery: Own system integration, data migration, process redesign, configuration/customisation, testing, and comprehensive change management—ensuring user adoption with minimal disruption.
  • Governance & risk: Establish robust programme governance, enable clear decision‑making, and proactively manage risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Continuous improvement: Embed learning loops, track and realise benefits, and optimise post‑implementation support for sustained impact.
  • Strategy alignment: Design and deliver the ERP programme roadmap aligned to our long‑term vision, growth, and digital transformation.
  • Vendor & stakeholder leadership: Build strong relationships with partners and suppliers, negotiating and influencing at every level to maximise innovation and value.
  • Tools & reporting: Lead the development and use of project tools and templates (e.g., Smartsheet) to enable consistent delivery and transparent reporting.
  • People & change: Engage and support colleagues through effective communications, training, and change leadership—so the programme lands positively across the charity.
  • Quality, compliance & data: Ensure legal/regulatory compliance, embed quality assurance, and protect data integrity and security throughout.
  • Operational excellence: Champion best practice in project and programme management to drive efficiency, consistency, and high‑quality outcomes.
  • Team leadership: Motivate, coach, and develop a high‑performing programme team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Scope & geography: National remit across England and Scotland.
  • Travel: Infrequent national travel may be required.
  • Collaboration: You’ll work closely with Operational leaders, Support Services Teams, and Programme/Project Sponsors & Leads.
  • Budget: No direct budgetary accountability; you will track programme budgets and ensure value for money.
Your values:
Our Ideal candidate:
  • Extensive experience leading large‑scale, cross‑functional ERP transformations with direct accountability for strategic outcomes (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Unit4).
  • Proven track record of effective Board/Executive level engagement; advanced influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Expertise across Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery, with a deep background in process design, mapping, and re‑engineering.
  • Commercial and financial acumen (multi‑million‑pound programmes, benefits tracking).
  • High resilience and adaptability; analytical problem‑solving and innovation focus.
  • Excellent facilitation skills and commitment to diversity, inclusion, and ethical leadership.

Please note, if you are interested in this role, we welcome your application as soon as possible! Depending on the volume of applications received, the vacancy may be closed before the expected advertising end date.
