In collaboration with its partners, The University of Wolverhampton is planning to open a new and innovative medical school in the Black Country, taking its first students in 2027 (subject to GMC approval).
The University is now seeking to recruit a new Dean of Medicine for the Black Country Medical School. The Dean will champion the University’s Mission demonstrating a particular commitment to creating opportunity, widening participation and transforming lives and will model the University’s values and behaviours:

- Inclusive: We are welcoming, respectful, collegiate and supportive.
- Ambitious: We are imaginative, confident, innovative and deliver excellence.
This role will be attractive to experienced individuals with a passion for establishing a new Medical School, a passion for creating opportunity and a genuine commitment to EDI.
This is a full-time role. However, for clinically qualified candidates, a 0.8 WTE commitment will be considered to allow continuation of clinical practice alongside the role.
