Fork Lift Truck Operator
Job summary
A logistics company is seeking a Fork Lift Truck Operator in Borough of Swale. The role requires candidates with 2-3 years of experience, a valid Counterbalance or Reach licence, and the ability to handle physical tasks. Responsibilities include loading/unloading vehicles, teamwork, and following instructions. Candidates need to be available to work weekends during busy seasons.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years experience operating Fork Lift Trucks.
- In-date Counterbalance or Reach licence required.
- Physically fit for manual handling tasks.
Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading lorries and tractors.
- Working within a team to meet deadlines.
- Following written and spoken instructions.
Skills
Education
Candidates suited to this role must have a minimum of 2-3 years previous experience of operating Fork Lift Trucks and have previous cold store experience.
Working 5 days per week, you will be expected to work weekends over their busy season according to the shift pattern - hours are 07.30am to 16.30pm
Candidates should possess an in-date Counterbalance or Reach licence. Duties will include:-
- Loading and unloading lorries and tractors
- Working within a team environment to achieve deadlines
- To follow written and spoken instructions
- Manual Handling is very much part of this role, so candidates need to be physically fit.
- The ability to learn how to operate hand held scanners
Candidates need to be able to drive and possess their own transport.
