Permanent Full-Time Position

We are excited to offer a Full-Time Permanent position for a Level 3 Community Support Worker in our Community Living Support – Refugee (CLSR) Mental Health program based in Liverpool. Usual hours of work are Monday to Friday between 8am-4pm.

This position supports the delivery of community-based support in the Mental Health space. Lived experience relevant to the role is desirable. The Day to Day
  1. Providing support to Participants in mental health community outreach services, helping improve their independence by assisting with living skills, transport, social activities, and other supports as required.
  2. Keeping customer records up to date using online systems.
  3. Developing and maintaining professional relationships with people, families, caregivers, and key stakeholders.
  4. Completing risk assessments, support plans, and other required documents in a timely manner.
You are

Punctual, friendly, outgoing, non-judgmental, flexible, persistent, empathetic, practical, balanced, compassionate, warm. You are invested in providing the highest quality in mental health services to the community. You are competent in working with people living with mental health issues.

What you need to have
  • Qualification in Mental Health or Community Services, or equivalent relevant experience in the human services industry.
  • Demonstrated understanding of mental health issues affecting refugees and asylum seekers, and the effects of torture on individuals, young people, families, and communities.
  • Experience in the mental health and community sector, with strong knowledge of services, Mental Health programs, NDIS, and understanding of person-centered practices.
  • Current Police check (not more than 3 months old).
  • Valid NSW Drivers C class license, with ability to drive vehicles in this license class.
  • Valid first aid certificate.
  • NDIS Worker Check.
  • WWCC.
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office and other common systems.
  • Passion, respect, and integrity.
