Job summary
A technology consulting firm based in Newcastle upon Tyne seeks a Data Centre Electrical or Mechanical Engineer to join their team. You will focus on the design and delivery of high-performance data centre facilities, engaging with clients and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Candidates should have a degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and experience in mission-critical environments. - Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Chartered Engineer status (or working towards) with CIBSE/IET or similar.
- Proven experience in mission-critical environments, ideally data centres.
- Strong knowledge of UK building services standards and sustainable design principles.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed electrical or mechanical designs for data centres.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring junior engineers.
- Engage with clients to ensure project objectives are met.
Skills
Education
- As a Data Centre Electrical or Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of complex, high-performance facilities. You'll work on projects from concept through to commissioning, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.

- Providing technical leadership and mentoring junior engineers

Please note mechanical engineers will be required to be on site 3 days a week. For electrical engineers there is more flexibility.
