A leading research organization is looking for a Project Coordinator to support research initiatives in electrochemical energy storage. The role involves monitoring KPIs, managing databases, and coordinating funding applications, with a strong emphasis on project management and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate will have a degree in a technical subject, experience in project management, and strong analytical skills. Blended working from home and on-site at Harwell Science and Innovation Campus, near Oxford, with travel required.
The Faraday Institution is the UK’s independent institute for electrochemical energy storage research, skills development, market analysis and early-stage commercialisation. It brings together research scientists and industry partners to work on large projects with commercial potential that will reduce battery cost, weight, and volume; improve performance and reliability; and develop whole-life strategies including recycling and reuse. The organisation manages large research programmes across 25 universities and spanning a network of 500+ researchers and 140+ industry partners across the UK.
Working within the Research Programme team, this role will support the wider FI team with collation of key outcomes and data across the research portfolio, such as tracking of research publications and Intellectual Property, and facilitating research competition and delivery processes.
The role will report to the Research Programme Director and will work closely with the Research Programme Managers, Technology Transfer Principal and International R&D Partnership Manager and key members of the projects as well as other members of The Faraday Institution team and wider community. Key relationships will be with Programme Managers, Operations team, individual Project Managers and other members of the research projects.
