A leading engineering consultancy in the UK is seeking a Senior E&I Draughtsperson to join the Digital Operations team. This role involves ensuring the accuracy of documentation and provides the opportunity to work both on-site and in a hybrid model. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in E&I design and CAD software, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to continuous professional development. The role includes leading technical discussions with clients and mentoring junior team members.
Remarkable people, trusted by clients to design, build and advance the world.
Wood is recruiting for a Senior E&I Draughtsperson to join our Digital Operations team within our Digital Consulting business.
The positions are based in Hull; one role is on a hybrid basis, the other is site based.
The Senior E&I Draughtsperson is the last line of defense in ensuring that all documents and drawings are accurate before being submitted for final review by the client. The role uses a variety of CAD and raster editing packages, assisting in creating mark‑ups, checking and approving documentation in accordance with all relevant standards, processes and procedures.
This critical position requires a technically astute draughtsperson who can provide peer review and on‑the‑job coaching to less experienced team members. The Senior Draughtsperson will liaison with the client to update them on documentation changes and ensure that all updates and revisions meet the required standards and timeframes.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced E&I draughtsperson with excellent communication skills, great attention to detail, and a desire for a varied fast‑paced role that supports the development of the next generation of draughtspersons delivering work critical to the digitalisation of the energy and materials sectors.
Within our Digital Operations team, our clients are operators of critical energy infrastructure as well as specialist manufacturing and pharmaceuticals, committed to maintaining safe and effective operational assets worldwide. Our work supports every stage of the asset lifecycle, focusing especially on the integrity of engineering data in digital solutions and optimising existing assets through our engineering expertise. We advise clients as they navigate the digital and energy transition.
Wood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets. We provide consulting, projects and operations solutions in 60 countries, employing around 35,000 people. www.woodplc.com
