A leading adult care provider is looking for a Support Worker to join their compassionate team in Wakefield, England. This full-time role involves assisting with personal care, implementing patient care plans, and promoting independent living for residents. Shift Patterns: Day/Night Shifts - 8am - 8pm/ 8pm - 8am
2 weeks - Tuesday to Friday
2 weeks - Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday
Due to a genuine occupational requirement, we are looking for male Support Workers
Carlton House is located in Rothwell Haigh, near to Leeds. It offers residential support for 10 male residents, including those on the autism spectrum or with a learning disability. Carlton Cottage, which is immediately adjacent, offers support for a further six people, and has an all‑male staff team. Our team are dedicated to working with each individual we support on a person‑centred basis to create and achieve goals to meet their own expectations.
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents’ wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future.
Your positive attitude and passion for providing high quality care and support will be your key strengths, but you’ll also have a friendly, patient and positive approach to work.
As a Support Worker, you will assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents. You will provide support with day to day activities, whilst encouraging and promoting independent living. As part of our team, you’ll help people reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support, making a positive difference to their lives.
