Job summary
A logistics company in Edinburgh seeks an experienced Stores Person to manage shipping and inventory. The successful candidate will ensure efficient delivery processes, communicate with suppliers, and drive a company van. Essential qualifications include a forklift license and previous logistics experience. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am – 5 pm with flexible timings, offering a pay range of £12.30–£14.50 per hour.

- Proficient in using computer programs.
Responsibilities
- Manage and handle shipping and unloading of products.
- Organise and maintain inventory records.
- Process deliveries efficiently.
- Manage warehouse and transportation logistics.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding logistics.
- Drive company van for deliveries.
- Operate forklift.
- Implement continuous improvement processes.

Holt Engineering Recruitment are looking for a Stores Person to join one of their clients based in Edinburgh.
As the Stores Person you will play a vital role within the company, supporting the business in the upkeep and organisation of the on‑site store.
- Manage and handle shipping, loading and unloading of products
- Organise and maintain records of inventories.
- Process received deliveries and distribution to factory efficiently.
- Process production orders, and all other material/component requests to factory.
- Manage inventory as well as warehouse, transportation, and other logistics processes.
- Communicate with suppliers and customers regarding logistics
- Delivery driving of company van to deliver materials
- Forklift operating
- Recognise continuous improvement and implement processes where needed.
- Previous experience working within Stores or Logistics is essential
- Great understanding of supply chain, inventory and distribution
- Excellent attention to detail
- Previous systems experience & able to use PC programmes
- Forklift licence
- Full UK driving licence
This position is Monday to Friday working 8am – 5pm with flexible start/finish times up to 1 hour. The role is paying £12.30–£14.50ph.
