Databricks Data Engineer: Lakehouse & Streaming Lead (Hybrid)
Job summary
A leading driver services provider in the UK seeks an experienced Databricks Data Engineer to design and operate production-grade Databricks Lakehouse solutions. The role requires significant hands-on experience with Azure Databricks and expertise in Python, PySpark, and structured streaming. Successful candidates will contribute to a modern data platform aimed at unlocking the value of connected car and insurance data, while ensuring data governance and performance tuning. This is a hybrid role with 3 office days per week.

Qualifications
- Significant hands-on experience with Azure Databricks in a production environment.
- Proven experience building Spark / Databricks pipelines using Python and PySpark.
- Practical experience implementing and operating Unity Catalog.
Responsibilities
- Design and build Databricks Lakehouse solutions including structured streaming pipelines.
- Develop and maintain event-driven data pipelines integrating with backend teams.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps for reliable Databricks deployments.
