On a day‑to‑day basis, you will:
- Create and develop Indian language datasets for print and digital platforms.
- Handle lexical datasets and manage XML data using tools such as TshwaneLex (TLex) and SketchEngine.
- Oversee content and author management while maintaining high editorial standards.
- Ensure adherence to project schedules and uphold the Press’s reputation in all external interactions.
Your work will directly influence the quality and accessibility of language resources, supporting OUP’s commitment to linguistic excellence and inclusivity.
- Master’s degree in Linguistics or allied disciplines.
- Strong understanding of Indian languages and familiarity with digital language data.
- Proficiency in at least two Indian languages in addition to English.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high editorial standards.
- Experience with XML data handling and tools like TLex and SketchEngine.
