Join Amentum’s 2026 Graduate Programme as a Graduate Fire Safety Engineer (North West). You will be part of our Fire Safety Engineering team within the Energy division, supporting the delivery of challenging Nuclear, Defence and buildings projects. Your role will involve producing building fire strategies, conducting fire and explosion assessments, and designing fire and explosion protection systems and arrangements.

• Work with a diverse, multi‑discipline energy team to share ideas and develop your career.
• Assist in the production of building fire strategies and the design of protection systems.
• Participate in the development of engineering solutions for nuclear, defence, and commercial building projects.

• Completed an undergraduate or master’s degree (e.g., Fire Safety Engineering or STEM) by summer 2026.
• Permanent right to work in the UK.
• Minimum 2:2 in your first degree.

• Technical document authoring experience (e.g., dissertation).
• Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
• Excellent organisation and time‑management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proactive ownership, curiosity, and willingness to seek growth opportunities.

• Experience in design engineering of suppression, alarm, and detection systems for building facilities.
• Exposure to building code and life‑safety code analysis.
• University‑level CFD (FDS) modelling and analysis experience.

• A flexible self‑starter driven to advance their career.
• Adaptable to change and eager to learn new things.

• Completed first degree no earlier than summer 2024.
• Not employed in a similar professional role since graduation.
