Position Summary

The Director of Outpatient Services is accountable for leadership and strategic management of Outpatient Services. In collaboration with the Medical Director and the clinical staff, this position assesses, develops, implements and evaluates program philosophy, goals, objectives and treatment interventions. This position provides the leadership necessary for successful program development and maintenance through appropriate, organized, program-focused referral development activities.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and strategically manage Outpatient Services in collaboration with the Medical Director and clinical staff.
  • Assess, develop, implement and evaluate program philosophy, goals, objectives, and treatment interventions.
  • Provide leadership for successful program development and maintenance through referral development activities.
  • Direct program services offered, consulting with Program Medical Director in planning, development, implementation and evaluation of clinical services.
  • Maintain awareness of community and market-related activities, including needs of local payers and political climate related to mental health.
  • Strategically solve problems, establish goals, and utilize understanding of organizational dynamics for planning and problem-solving.
  • Participate in developing, justifying, and controlling the annual budget for the Outpatient Services Department personnel, facilities and equipment.
  • Develop goals, objectives, policies, and procedures related to operational needs of program staff and patient care, ensuring consistency with facility goals.
  • Allocate and coordinate program resources for marketing and referral development activities.
  • Collaborate with Director of Business Development to develop, implement and monitor target marketing plan.
  • Ensure effective communication and reporting among staff and other departments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree.
  • Appropriate State Licensure in Mental Health and proper certification in the field of expertise.
  • 3-5 years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of JCAHO, Medicare, HCFA, Title XXII, Patient Rights Standards, and applicable state and federal law and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
