Job summary
A sports organization in the UK is seeking a Student Representative for the Women’s BUCS Super Rugby League Management Committee. As a volunteer, you will represent student-athletes' voices, establish important relationships within the sport, and provide insightful feedback to enhance the WBSR experience. Ideal candidates will have a passion for rugby and be currently studying at a BUCS Member Institution. Applications must be submitted via email with a CV, highlighting relevant experience.

- Experience in University Rugby Union or related sports activities is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Act as an ambassador for BUCS and WBSR programme.
- Establish relationships with student-athletes within WBSR member institutions.
- Offer insight and feedback on the current WBSR structure.
- Attend all relevant WBSR LMC meetings.

The LMC shall act in an advisory capacity in respect of Women’s BUCS Super Rugby, ensuring the delivery is fit for purpose and providing an opportunity for the BUCS Executive to seek advice from key stakeholders, such as members and National Governing Body representatives.
The Committee works dynamically with the Sport Advisory Group (SAG), to ensure that developments and changes within the league are in line with that of the wider BUCS rugby union programme and support BUCS’ ambition to deliver exceptional student sporting experiences that inspire, develop and unite.
BUCS is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is currently studying at a BUCS Member Institution competing in Women’s BUCS Super Rugby (WBSR) to act as Student Representative for WBSR programme on the WBSR League Management Committee (LMC).
The Student Representative will present the voice and opinions of student-athletes within the WBSR programme, and act as an ambassador for WBSR.
- Act as an ambassador for BUCS and WBSR programme
- Establish relationships between BUCS and student-athletes within WBSR member institutions.
- Build and maintain a communication network with other students playing WBSR in institutions other than their own.
- Advise the WBSR LMC on all matters relating to the student perspective of WBSR.
- Offer insight and feedback on the current WBSR structure and provide member led feedback for the future of WBSR.
- Help develop a strategic annual delivery plan encompassing student feedback as one element of the plan.
- Attend all relevant WBSR LMC meetings and provide any updates on actions from previous meetings.
- Comply with the BUCS Volunteer Code of Conduct.
