Job summary
A nature-based park organization in the United Kingdom is seeking a Park Ranger to inspire guests through outdoor activities. Responsibilities include leading activities like bushcraft and promoting environmental conservation. Ideal candidates should have a passion for nature, basic health and safety knowledge, and experience engaging with families. This position can be full-time, part-time, or seasonal with pay rates up to £12.21 per hour depending on age.
Qualifications
- Experience as a Park Ranger or Activities Leader is beneficial.
- Must complete an Enhanced DBS check.
- Experience working with young children and groups.
Responsibilities
- Lead activities like bushcraft and creative sessions.
- Encourage exploration of the park.
- Manage habitats to support wildlife.
- Educate guests on environmental conservation.
- Ensure safety in nature activity areas.
Skills
Position: Park Ranger – Full‑Time / Part‑Time / Seasonal. Pay Rates: Up to £12.21 per hour depending on age. Join our One Great Team to inspire guests to connect with nature and enjoy the great outdoors.
- Lead exciting activities such as bushcraft, den building, bat walks, and creative sessions like nest box making and pebble art.
- Encourage guests to explore the park while fostering a deeper appreciation for the natural environment.
- Protect and preserve the countryside by managing habitats to support wildlife.
- Educate guests on environmental conservation through engaging and informative experiences.
- Ensure a safe and secure environment within the park’s nature activity areas.
You may already be a Park Ranger or Activities Leader, or have experience as a Cubs, Scouts or Guides Leader – all we are looking for is…
- A love for the great outdoors, a passion for working with nature, and the ability to inspire and motivate others with outdoor learning.
- Basic Health and Safety knowledge.
- Experience of working with young children (of all ages) and families / groups of people.
- This opportunity requires the new candidate to undergo, and satisfactorily complete, an Enhanced DBS check prior to starting work.
