Role Purpose

Care for the welfare of livestock in the holding areas.

Role Requirements
  • Always maintain Animal Welfare
  • Unload livestock
  • Locate/transfer livestock into designated holding areas
  • Maintain accurate records of livestock arrivals
  • Notify manager of any animal welfare issues or documentation discrepancies
  • Maintain and safely operate tools and equipment
  • Deal with animal waste in accordance with processes
  • Complete duties within the required timescale
  • Work in accordance with animal welfare requirements.
  • Any other duties as required by management and within the competency of the post holder.

Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 6am start, average of 40hrs/week
