Field Service Engineer – Waste Compactors & Balers (Travel)
Job summary
A leading engineering company in the UK is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join their team. This role involves maintaining and repairing specialist waste compactors and balers, ensuring high customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have proven experience with heavy machinery, strong hydraulics and mechanical skills, and the flexibility to travel. The position offers a competitive salary up to £37,500 with OTE potential exceeding £50,000, extensive training, and generous travel pay.

- Proven experience with heavy industrial machinery like compactors and balers.
- Strong background in hydraulics and mechanical engineering.
- Desirable welding and fabrication skills.
Responsibilities
- Execute planned preventative maintenance on hydraulic balers and compactors.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
- Conduct electrical and PLC diagnostics and fault finding.
- Manage own diary and workload efficiently.
- Provide outstanding customer service and communicate clearly with clients.
