A prominent broadcasting company is seeking a Production Apprentice for a 13-month full-time fixed-term contract. You will work alongside programme makers, support audio production, and learn how to create engaging content. Ideal candidates should be 18 years or older, passionate about audio, and eager to learn. The role offers a salary of £22,950 plus £5,441 London weighting, alongside valuable industry-recognized training and development opportunities.

The BBC Audio team creates and delivers more than 100 hours of original audio each day across Radio 1, Radio 2, Radio 3, Radio 4, and the World Service, as well as content for BBC Sounds. Our podcasts and radio programmes are heard around the world. We work with some of the biggest names in music, entertainment, and journalism, bringing the greatest festivals and events to life for our audiences.
As a Production Apprentice you will:
You’ll also attend learning blocks (up to a week at a time) with our learning provider, working towards an industry‑recognised apprenticeship qualification – Level 3 Production Assistant. Learning blocks will include both in‑person and virtual delivery.

This scheme is aimed at non‑graduates. If you have a degree, consider applying for other BBC roles or apprenticeship schemes.
For candidates under 19 years at 8th September 2026: you must have achieved Maths and English GCSE at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) or National 5 (Scotland) at C or Functional Skills Level 2. If not, you must achieve Functional Skills Level 2 before the end of your apprenticeship.
