Responsibilities
- Carry out inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on Volvo trucks.
- Provide on-site technical support and breakdown assistance.
- Deliver high standards of customer service and build positive relationships with clients.
- Complete job cards, reports, and other paperwork accurately.
- Attend site workshop when not working on customer sites.
Skills
Education
Technician (VAS/Field Service) - Ipswich at Volvo Trucks. Up to £20.50 per hour ++ options to earn on VAS call outs. £1,000 JOINING BONUS! (direct applicants payable after 6 months service). Role will rotate weekly with working hours 0800hrs to 1630hrs Monday to Friday. Week 2 – VAS/on site.
- Carry out inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on Volvo trucks and associated equipment
- Provide on-site technical support and breakdown assistance to customers
- Deliver high standards of customer service, building positive relationships with clients
- Accurately complete job cards, reports, and other paperwork
- Keep up to date with Volvo product training and technical developments
- Work as part of a skilled, customer-focused team
- Field Service will carry out repairs on customer sites as required
- Attending/working within site workshop when not required on customer sites
- Competitive salary up to £20.50 per hour + VAS payments

You’ll hold a City and Guilds, an NVQ3 or an equivalent qualification. You’ll also have completed an apprenticeship in the HGV industry, or have equivalent experience, along with relevant experience in the commercial vehicle industry. A basic knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook is preferred, as is general computer literacy. A basic working knowledge of vehicle technology is expected. HGV Class 1 or 2/PSV Licence would be ideal but not essential.
