Job summary

We are recruiting for a Maintenance Fitter to join our team to operate a planned, preventative and safe maintenance service on all equipment on our site.
- Responsible for corrective, planned and preventative maintenance tasks of production plant to minimize downtime.
- Carry out predictive maintenance tasks and report on findings.
- Maintain and implement planned maintenance schedules and routines for all equipment.
- Ensure all plant and equipment is operationally safe and complies with the relevant legislation.
- Ordering plant parts as and when required.
- Manage maintenance Contractors onsite, to ensure they comply with Health & Safety and environmental regulations.
- Maintain a tidy and secure work environment.
- Provide regular information to assist management with decision‑making.
- Maintain files and administration as required, to comply with office processes and procedures.
- Ensure the smooth running of all aspects of the maintenance department.
- Minimum 3 years experience in plant maintenance preferably with a heavy industry/engineering background.
- Hands on approach preferably with welding experience.
- Capable of troubleshooting mechanical downtime issues & resolving to root cause.
- Experience of a wide range of production plant.
- Experience in maintenance task planning, scheduling and recording.
- Experience in electrical diagnostics/installs desirable.
- Flexible attitude to work and be adaptable enough to respond to changing circumstances and business requirements.
- Willing to undertake such professional, organisational and administration duties in the most efficient and cost‑effective way as required within the maintenance department.
- Capable of undertaking and/or assisting with mechanical tasks.
