We are recruiting for a Maintenance Fitter to join our team to operate a planned, preventative and safe maintenance service on all equipment on our site.

Role
  • Responsible for corrective, planned and preventative maintenance tasks of production plant to minimize downtime.
  • Carry out predictive maintenance tasks and report on findings.
  • Maintain and implement planned maintenance schedules and routines for all equipment.
  • Ensure all plant and equipment is operationally safe and complies with the relevant legislation.
  • Ordering plant parts as and when required.
  • Manage maintenance Contractors onsite, to ensure they comply with Health & Safety and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain a tidy and secure work environment.
  • Provide regular information to assist management with decision‑making.
  • Maintain files and administration as required, to comply with office processes and procedures.
  • Ensure the smooth running of all aspects of the maintenance department.
Person
  • Minimum 3 years experience in plant maintenance preferably with a heavy industry/engineering background.
  • Hands on approach preferably with welding experience.
  • Capable of troubleshooting mechanical downtime issues & resolving to root cause.
  • Experience of a wide range of production plant.
  • Experience in maintenance task planning, scheduling and recording.
  • Experience in electrical diagnostics/installs desirable.
  • Flexible attitude to work and be adaptable enough to respond to changing circumstances and business requirements.
  • Willing to undertake such professional, organisational and administration duties in the most efficient and cost‑effective way as required within the maintenance department.
  • Capable of undertaking and/or assisting with mechanical tasks.
