POLING OPERATIVE
Job summary
A contracting company in the United Kingdom is seeking Poling Operatives to join their team in North Wales. This entry-level position involves installation and removal of poles across the region. All necessary training will be provided to ensure success in the role, with earning potential increasing significantly post-training. Candidates must possess a full UK driving licence and have strong work ethics. This role is full-time and mainly on the road.

Responsibilities
- Replace damaged or defective poles in the Openreach network.
- Install new poles for customer connections.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and client specifications.
Skills
We are currently recruiting for Poling Operatives to join our North Wales Team.
As a Poling Operative, you will be responsible for installation and removal of poles, including dressing new poles covering the North Wales region.
This is an entry level position and all training will be provided. After an 18‑week training period, earning potentials will vastly increase. This will be discussed in further detail during a telephone interview. This is a subcontracting opportunity and our course will start on 12.1.2026.
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong work ethic and ability to work under pressure

- Basic computer literacy
- Replace decayed, damaged, or defective poles in the Openreach network
- Install new poles to support customer connections
- Ensure all work meets client specifications and safety standards
- Maintain driving standards and legal compliance
- Adhere to Health & Safety legislation and company/client policies
- Experience working in the Openreach network
- Groundworks or civils experienceIPAF 1B
- NPORS N107 or equivalent
- Full NRSWA Streetworks operative‑level qualification
- 360 Excavator operation
- PASMA certification
