Job description

We are looking to recruit an Art, Design and Technology Technician who will support both the Art department and the Design & Technology department to co‑ordinate the use of the practical resources and facilities by providing assistance and advice in meeting the practical needs of the ADT curriculum, including liaising with teaching staff and support staff outside the department.

Hours: Full‑time, 32.5 hours per week, or part‑time. Term Time + 1 day.

Ideal Candidate
  • Ideally, have a background in Art, Design and Technology and be self‑motivated and flexible in their work.
  • Have Maths and English to GCSE Grade 4 or equivalent.
  • Ensure the well‑organised storage of materials, equipment and artwork.
  • Maintain efficient and tidy organisation of ADT classrooms and areas.
  • Love encouraging, motivating and inspiring young children through the support they give to encourage their learning.
  • Be committed to our ethos that all pupils can achieve at Whitcliffe Mount Academy.
  • Have great references demonstrating they are a suitable candidate, safe to work with children.
