Job description

Ref Number B02-09663 Professional Expertise Teaching, Teaching Support and Examination Support Department School of Life & Medical Sciences (B02) Location London Working Pattern Full time Salary £36,433-£41,833 Contract Type Permanent Working Type Hybrid Available for Secondment No Closing Date 12-Jan-2026

About us

The Faculty of Life Sciences (FLS) Education Administration and Student Experience (EASE) team is made up of four areas: Clinical, Programmes, Research, and Student Wellbeing & Casework. The team is led by three Education Managers and supported by Education Coordinators across the teams.

About the role

We are recruiting for multiple full-time positions.

We’re looking for brilliant and proactive Education Administrators to support the administration and delivery of Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programmes across the Faculty of Life Sciences. This is a fantastic opportunity for applicants who are keen to develop their skills and build a rewarding career within the new FLS Education Administration and Student Experience (EASE) team.

We’re looking for organised and student-focused individuals to support our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes within the Faculty of Life Sciences. You’ll play a key role in managing the academic cycle, from induction and timetabling to assessments and exam boards, while providing responsive support to students and staff. You’ll work closely with academic leads to ensure smooth programme delivery and may also contribute to student engagement activities such as socials, field trips, and open days. There’s also scope to support improvement projects using Excel and Power Apps, and to collaborate across the wider team when needed. If you’re proactive, detail‑oriented, and passionate about supporting students, we’d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting admissions, enrolment, and timetabling

• Supporting in person assessments and exam boards

• Liaison with academics, external stakeholders and wider UCL

• Responding to student and staff queries

• Contribute to wider activities across the Programme and EASE Team and support other programmes as needed

Working Arrangements

This is a hybrid role. Flexibility is essential, as there will be peak periods, particularly around student‑facing activities, when increased on‑campus presence will be required.

We will consider applications to work on a part‑time, flexible and job share basis wherever possible.

This appointment is subject to UCL Terms and Conditions of Service for Research and Professional Services Staff. Please visit https://www.ucl.ac.uk/human-resources/conditions-service-research-teaching-and-professional-services-staff for more information.

This is a dynamic and varied position where no two days are the same. You’ll have the opportunity to work independently, plan your own workload, and make decisions, while being fully supported by your Education Coordinator and the wider team. Flexibility and adaptability are key, as the role involves a broad range of activities and can respond to rapidly changing priorities.

You’ll be part of a highly supportive environment, with access to training and development opportunities to help you grow your skills across your chosen areas.

About you

You’re a proactive, solutions‑focused individual with strong organisational skills and an excellent eye for detail. You’re confident working both independently and collaboratively, and you bring a positive, patient, and professional approach to everything you do. Strong communication skills are essential.
