About Us & Our Club

The lead provision of The Tree Project CIC, Wellbeing Warriors, epitomises our organisation's ethos: Growing roots of wellness with fairness, we believe everybody should have access to activities and provisions that provide connection and support. Wellbeing Warriors was established in September 2021. We have worked hard to develop our club to provide a welcoming and safer space for children and young people (CYP) to make friends, have fun, keep their bodies healthy and their minds happy. Trauma Informed Plymouth Network’s values and the Five Ways to Wellbeing (New Economics Foundation, 2008) are our roots of practice.

We grow our trees using:
  • belonging & connection
  • having emotions heard & seen
  • exploring food - making & eating
  • connecting with nature
  • learning tools that support emotional expression
  • co-regulation
  • being physically active
  • noticing ourselves & the world
  • creativity
  • family times
  • yoga & mindfulness
  • fun
  • conversations
  • equity & inclusion
  • balancing keeping safe & taking risks
  • space for calm
Why we do what we do

The overall purpose of the project is to enable children and young people to explore wellbeing, in its widest sense: emotional, mental, physical, social, cultural & community.

The objectives are that Children and Young People will:

  • Increase their awareness of and have a better understanding of their own feelings; to be more confident in sharing them, learning to regulate and co-regulate their emotions.
  • Make new friends and feel more connected to others - their friends, family, and the wider community.
  • Learn to support their wellbeing in many ways
Who Do We Employ

To reflect our values, our commitment to diversity and inclusion, and positive role modelling to our CYP we actively seek to employ people that represent our wider community and the membership of our group.
