We are looking to recruit an experienced and reflective Session Lead to deliver our special weekly provision.

The successful candidate will take overall responsibility for session planning, preparation and delivery and will be the safeguarding lead within the sessions. The role holder will have a 2-month induction period, working 2.5 hours/week initially and then move to 8 hours/week after 2 months. This is to ensure the club’s ethos and practice is embedded and to give the children-young people opportunity to build trust with the new Session Lead.

The lead provision of The Tree Project CIC, Wellbeing Warriors, epitomises our organisation's ethos: Growing roots of wellness with fairness, we believe everybody should have access to activities and provisions that provide connection and support. Wellbeing Warriors was established in September 2021. We have worked hard to develop our club to provide a welcoming and safer space for children and young people (CYP) to make friends, have fun, keep their bodies healthy and their minds happy. Trauma Informed Plymouth Network’s values and the Five Ways to Wellbeing (New Economics Foundation, 2008) are our roots of practice.

The overall purpose of the project is to enable children and young people to explore wellbeing, in its widest sense: emotional, mental, physical, social, cultural & community.

The objectives are that Children and Young People will:

• Increase their awareness of and have a better understanding of their own feelings; to be more confident in sharing them, learning to regulate and co-regulate their emotions.
• Make new friends and feel more connected to others - their friends, family, and the wider community.
• Learn to support their wellbeing in many ways
