A community support organization in Plymouth seeks an experienced Session Lead to oversee weekly sessions for children and young people. Key responsibilities include planning and delivering engaging sessions while ensuring child safety and building trust. The role begins with a two-month induction period, transitioning from 2.5 to 8 hours per week. This opportunity aims to create a welcoming environment for growth and emotional support for youth in the community.
We are looking to recruit an experienced and reflective Session Lead to deliver our special weekly provision.
The successful candidate will take overall responsibility for session planning, preparation and delivery and will be the safeguarding lead within the sessions. The role holder will have a 2-month induction period, working 2.5 hours/week initially and then move to 8 hours/week after 2 months. This is to ensure the club’s ethos and practice is embedded and to give the children-young people opportunity to build trust with the new Session Lead.

The lead provision of The Tree Project CIC, Wellbeing Warriors, epitomises our organisation's ethos: Growing roots of wellness with fairness, we believe everybody should have access to activities and provisions that provide connection and support. Wellbeing Warriors was established in September 2021. We have worked hard to develop our club to provide a welcoming and safer space for children and young people (CYP) to make friends, have fun, keep their bodies healthy and their minds happy. Trauma Informed Plymouth Network’s values and the Five Ways to Wellbeing (New Economics Foundation, 2008) are our roots of practice.
The overall purpose of the project is to enable children and young people to explore wellbeing, in its widest sense: emotional, mental, physical, social, cultural & community.
