We are seeking a self-motivated individual with experience in road design, inspection, and maintenance.You will play a key role in maintaining the quality and standards of East Lothian’s roads and related infrastructure. Responsibilities include carrying out topographical surveys and inspections, preparing designs and CAD drawings, producing contract documentation using the NEC suite, and fulfilling CDM (2015) designer duties, including pre-construction information. You will also assess, prioritise, and prepare work orders, and supervise works on-site by internal teams or external contractors to ensure compliance with contract requirements and best practice.The ideal candidate will be confident, with strong verbal and written communication skills, and able to build effective working relationships quickly. IT proficiency is essential, as digital technology is integral to the role.
