Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage capital delivery projects for the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Coordinate with various departments and stakeholders to align project goals.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for capital delivery improvements.
- Monitor project progress and report to senior management.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks in project delivery.

About the Role
Luminate Education Group is seeking an exceptional Head of Capital Projects to lead the delivery of our ambitious multi‑site investment and estates transformation programme.
What You Will Do
- Effectively manage capital and revenue projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and to the agreed specification.
- Lead, support and motivate the team to meet deadlines and deliver high‑quality outcomes.
- Embed strong systems and processes across the area to support consistent and efficient working practices.
- Produce and submit accurate, timely reports whenever required.
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant legislation, policies and guidance.
- Provide support across services and directorates to help maintain capacity, capability and collaborative working.
- Identify, address and mitigate risks and issues, escalating them appropriately where necessary.
About You
- Educated to degree level with membership to a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS).
- Extensive experience of construction technology, design & project management in a diverse range of construction projects.
- Experience of delivering complex projects within occupied buildings.
- Previous experience of managing capital projects and the wider team.
- Previous experience of working to Building Bulletins, DfE 24 standards or other predetermined design standards.
- Sound IT skills in Microsoft Office Suite and project related software.
- Experience of managing complex technical relationships between client, consultant and contractors.
