A leading organisation in safety management is looking for a Health and Safety professional based in Ardrossan, Scotland. The role is crucial in supporting managers with compliance, risk assessments, and training to foster a safe workplace. Key responsibilities include managing audits, site checks, and wellbeing assessments. Candidates must possess a NEBOSH General Certificate and strong teamwork skills. In this role, you’ll be right at the heart of ensuring our managers are supported in creating a safe and compliant workplace.
From supporting staff with risk assessments and training, to helping manage site audits, trips, equipment checks and wellbeing assessments, you’ll make a big difference to the everyday experience of students and staff.
You will be a team player, working closely with our Estates Officer to ensure a safe and healthy working environment across our offices and as well as working with managers in our subsidiaries and direct labour teams to ensure safe working practices, processes and effective reporting procedures.
You will have a minimum of the NEBOSH General Certificate, and it would desirable if you hold a professional membership with a relevant professional body.
The role forms an important part of the People and Culture Team to support the wider organisation in the delivery of our mission, vision and values.
Reporting to the People and Culture Manager and forming part of the CEO department this key role will have input to the People Strategy, policy development and ensuring that legal, statutory and regulatory requirements are met.
