We have secured a new framework with Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water that will last up to eight years, enabling MMB to tackle projects across the DCC region, covering clean and wastewater treatment sites, below‑ground assets, reservoirs, and nature‑based solutions. Since securing our first framework at the beginning of AMP6, our presence in Wales has grown significantly, directly employing over 270 colleagues in the country across all roles, from frontline construction to design and management positions.

You will play a pivotal role in delivering water, wastewater treatment and network projects, from feasibility through to detailed design stages. You will also provide hydraulic technical guidance and coordination to our design teams throughout the lifecycle of design, ensuring all hydraulic aspects are meticulously considered and integrated.

  • Producing and reviewing technical specifications and schedules for procurement activities, reviewing supplier tender bids and technical submissions.
  • Understanding, applying and contributing to design standards with a good knowledge of client and industry standards.
  • Appropriately challenging client specifications and presenting and defending solutions to complex problems.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve delivery processes, including development and implementation of standard designs, sustainable solutions and digital tools.
  • Acting as technical checker on project documents and undertaking technical reviews for projects across teams.
  • Managing the interfaces and integration of the design with that of other disciplines and producing documentation.
  • Actively seeking input from other engineers, specialists, client and project team members to improve understanding and deliver fit‑for‑purpose solutions.
  • Working closely and collaboratively with the commercial, operational and construction teams to develop efficient, practical and safe solutions throughout design stages, construction and beyond.
  • Supervising and mentoring our graduates and engineers, assisting them to develop their knowledge and skills.
  • Positively engaging with the client, managing relationships and adopting a one‑team approach to supporting them in achieving their aims.
  • Undertaking site reviews to ensure buildability of solutions and integration within the existing systems.
