Job summary

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Ability to commute to Ealing.
  • Experience in supporting individuals with learning disabilities or mental health issues.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operational management of the service.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to Support Workers and volunteers.
  • Conduct risk assessments and care plans for clients.
  • Plan and implement recreational and educational activities.
  • Provide updates and feedback to parents about client progress.

Job description

£13.46 per hour / 6 hours (part-time) / Permanent / Casual

The role:

As a Team Leader, you’ll help us grow our service in Ealing. You’ll oversee a team that offers bespoke activities and outing for children and young people with special educational needs.

  • Support the day-to-day operational management, delivery and development of the service
  • Provide supervision, guidance and oversight of a team that includes Support Workers, students and volunteers
  • Conduct risk assessments and care plans for the clients
  • Plan and implement a variety of recreational and educational activities tailored to the interests and needs of our clients
  • Provide regular updates and feedback to parents/guardians regarding clients development and progress
  • Has 2–3 years of experience in a similar position
  • Is able to commute to Ealing
  • Has experience in supporting autistic adults or children, and/or people with a learning disability, and/or people affected by mental health issues or behaviours that challenge
  • Can organise activities that are person-centred and appropriate to each child’s abilities and development
  • Has strong organisational and planning skills
  • Has excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is compassionate and patient
