Safety Manager - Tier 2 Builder - Large Scale Commercial Project

About the Company This company has been operating for over 50 years and has a great name within the industry in Sydney, ACT and other NSW locations. They do a diverse range of projects ranging from $30 million – $700 million. They do a lot of work for repeat clients and pride themselves on their ability to build long‑lasting relationships with subbies and clients. They do a mixture of projects including Health, Industrial, Large CBD projects, Education and commercial projects.

Role & Responsibilities

As the HSE manager you will be responsible for the way the sites manage their safety. The role centres around internal auditing, working with the onsite client’s safety representative, educating site teams on best safety practices, preparing safety plans for high‑risk activity, ensuring company procedures and policies are followed and providing assistance with anything that will improve the HSE at the company.

Your Background

• Experience as a HSE Manager or a Senior Safety Advisor on commercial or new build construction projects over $100 million.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and requirements on building sites.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with Site Managers and Sub‑Contractors.
• Professional, personable and proven experience leading a team.
• Ideally have used a HSE software system like Hammertech.
• Must have like‑for‑like experience and have done new build construction projects to be considered for this role.
