Job summary

A family-owned electronics engineering company in High Wycombe is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to manage and develop the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System. The ideal candidate should have a background in quality engineering, mechanical or electronics engineering, and knowledge of hazardous area certification. This full-time position offers a salary of £40,000 to £42,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification such as HNC/HND or above in an Engineering or Science discipline.
• Experience in a similar role.
• Experience working within an ISO 9001 Quality Management System with knowledge of audits, documentation and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining the ISO 9001:2015 QMS.
• Ensuring products meet internal and external quality requirements.
• Working with suppliers to identify, isolate and resolve issues with defective components.
• Liaising with the sales team to resolve quality control issues.
• Maintaining quality documentation following technical changes to products and processes.
• Monitoring and developing the quality inspection processes and auditing these processes.
• Conducting internal audits and writing reports.
• Ensuring calibration certificates are kept up to date.

Job description

We have an opportunity for an experienced Quality Engineer to join our team at a growing family-owned electronics engineering and manufacturing company.

We are looking for an individual with experience in quality engineering, ideally with mechanical and/or electronics engineering experience. Knowledge of ATEX hazardous area certification or work in another regulated engineering environment would be extremely beneficial.

The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining and developing the company’s ISO 9001:2015 QMS, keeping our product and manufacturing approvals, and ensuring that all products meet business and customer quality expectations and regulatory requirements.
