Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our team in West Bridgford. This pivotal role involves delivering high-quality care and educational support to children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver stimulating and age-appropriate learning activities that support children’s development and individual needs.
  • Provide attentive and compassionate care to children, promoting their physical, emotional, and social development in a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Observe and assess children’s progress, maintaining accurate records and contributing to regular progress reports and parent consultations.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a supportive team environment that encourages continuous professional development and best practices.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and Ofsted standards.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers, building positive relationships and providing regular updates on their child’s progress and wellbeing.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews to enhance professional skills and service quality.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education and Childcare, or equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Proven experience working as a Nursery Practitioner or in a similar childcare role within a reputable setting.
  • Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and current childcare best practices.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to undergo the process upon appointment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Reliable, flexible, and committed to delivering high standards of care and education.

  • First Aid qualification specific to childcare.
