What You’ll Need

Essential:

  • A positive approach to gaining further qualifications and CPD.

Desirable:

  • Strong previous experience in an Administrative role, in a fast-paced environment, within the HR function.
  • Experience in a fast paced working environment, and working to Service Level Agreements.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive in problem-solving
  • Sound understanding of GDPR, data protection and confidentiality.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly in MS Office and/or HR systems and familiarity with digital tools, ATS, LMS and reporting platforms.
  • Excellent organisational ability, attention to detail is paramount.
  • Strong communication skills at all levels both written and oral.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
  • Experience of working in the Childcare sector and with multi-site businesses is advantageous but not essential.
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Manage employee files and documentation across the full employee lifecycle, including monitoring and managing all Spark Notifications including change of details, NMW increases, Right to Work in UK, Visa’s and DBS records, ensuring that we are always compliant and managers are notified timely of any expirations
  • Support with onboarding, offboarding, changes to terms, and other HR processes including issue of employment contracts, forms, and support the Nursery Managers with references and DBS checks, eligibility to work and complete suitability processes in line with Safer Recruitment, processing leavers and reference requests
  • Assist with people reporting and data integrity across systems i.e. (Spark, Noodle Now, Medicash, Mintago,Team News), ensuring all data is accurate and up to date.
  • Support with the completion of the monthly Payroll and responding to payroll queries.
  • Support Advisors with note taking during formal meetings (investigations, disciplinaries, grievances) as well as with recruitment and training administration
  • Support improvement projects and coordinate key personal actions.
  • Ensure that all queries are responded to promptly or escalated to the responsible person.
  • To complete all tasks promptly, within the agreed timescales.
  • To demonstrate our values in everything you do.
  • Keep your line manager updated and informed on your workflow and key information.
  • Any other reasonable duties as requested by your line manager.
