Job description

Our Client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join its operations team. This role is suited to a hands‑on Maintenance Fitter who takes pride in quality workmanship, safety, and reliability.

Hours

Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm
Fridays – 8am – 3:30pm

About The Role Of a Maintenance Fitter

You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and fabrication of fixed and mobile plant and equipment used in industrial and mining environments. The role involves both workshop‑based and potential site‑based work, requiring flexibility and a strong commitment to safe work practices.

Key Responsibilities of a Maintenance Fitter
  • Carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance on plant and equipment
  • Perform fitting, fabrication and general mechanical repairs
  • Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions
  • Work with rubber‑lined equipment, conveyors and associated systems
  • Ensure all work is completed to safety, quality and compliance standards
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports
About You
  • Trade qualified Maintenance Fitter / Mechanical Fitter
  • Proven experience in industrial or mining environments
  • Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High regard for workplace safety
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and attend site work as required
