What You’ll Do

You will work with economics experts to develop analytical frameworks, manage project teams, draft deliverables (including expert reports), and engage clients to discuss approaches and present findings. You will mentor junior colleagues and collaborate with the risk practice, working with forensic accountants and data analysts.

Examples of our work include:

  • Representing Visa in English High Court litigation on interchange fees and in the European Commission investigation into inter‑regional interchange fees.
  • Providing economic expert witness evidence concerning Google and Apple’s app‑store conduct, covering market definition, dominance assessment, and consumer impact.
  • Supporting North‑West European energy majors in contract disputes.
  • Advising Optus on a proposed wholesale arrangement in the Australian telecom market that was anti‑competitive.
What You’ll Need
  • A postgraduate degree (Master’s or PhD) in economics or econometrics, preferably in industrial organisation, advanced microeconomics, or applied econometrics.
  • Relevant professional experience in government, competition authorities, regulation, or economic consultancy.
  • Track record of leading rigorous economic analysis on challenging projects and delivering clear reports.
  • Analytical rigor, strong communication skills, and the ability to apply economic theory to practical problems.
  • Collaborative teamwork and willingness to work outside normal hours when needed.
  • Fluency in English; additional European languages (German, French) are a plus.
