Qualifications

  • Experience in a care setting, ideally with adults with learning disabilities or mental health conditions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate and understanding of complex needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop personalized care plans ensuring service users' voices are central.
  • Support individuals in building daily living skills.
  • Facilitate access to social and recreational activities.
  • Provide emotional and social support.
  • Ensure service users have a say in decisions affecting their lives.
  • Administer medication and assist with healthcare appointments.
  • Maintain accurate documentation ensuring compliance.

Skills

Experience in a care setting
Strong communication skills
Compassionate and patient
Ability to work independently
Knowledge of safeguarding principles
Basic understanding of personal care
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care
First Aid certification
