Job summary

A leading NHS Trust in the UK is seeking a Consultant in colorectal surgery with an expertise in laparoscopic techniques. You will be joining a dynamic surgical team and will be responsible for supervising outpatient clinics and operating lists. The position offers opportunities for professional development within a high-performing environment with a focus on excellent patient care. Ideal candidates should have full GMC registration and a strong clinical background. This is a permanent position with the on-call frequency of 1:8.

Qualifications

• Fully registered on the UK General Medical Council's Specialist Register with MRCP.
• Specialist Registrars may apply if within 6 months of CCT.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and run outpatient clinics, operating lists.
• Participate in the weekly Colorectal MDT.
• Carry out emergency work: on-call of 1 in 8 schedule.

Skills

Excellent all round experience of District general hospital

Ability to communicate effectively and co-operate well with all staff and patients

Flexible attitude, team player with good time management

Education

MBBS and FRCS or equivalent
