We have an opportunity to join the Customer Operations department as a Reinstatement Specialist. Please note this opportunity is based out of either our Staffordshire (Burslem) or Shropshire (Shelton) sites.
Within this role you will play a key role in coordinating the reinstatement process for our Distribution team. Your responsibilities will include collating, building, and assisting in scheduling all reinstatements, defects, and dangerous apparatus. You will ensure compliance with the New Roads and Streetworks Act (NRSWA), monitored by the Highway Authority. Daily interaction with Highway Authority staff to discuss performance issues and agree on necessary rectification works will be a crucial part of your role. Additionally, you will liaise with local contractors to ensure timely completion of reinstatements.
We are seeking an individual with experience in customer-facing environments and proficiency in various IT systems, including SAP. It would be advantageous if you had knowledge and experience in the Reinstatement and TMA Noticing field, including handling Defects, Section 74’s, and 81’s. A good understanding of Safer, Better, Faster principles are also desirable.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical messages in a simple manner will be essential. A proven track record of building effective, professional relationships with colleagues and external authorities is vital. Strong problem‑solving skills are essential, as is the ability to investigate problems and clearly interpret findings. The role requires someone who can make decisions independently, work well both as part of a team and alone using their own initiative, and influence and ensure compliance with NRSWA.
